Research in the Department falls into the following areas of ACM classification: Algorithms and Data Structures, Computer Architecture Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Databases and Information Retrieval, Computational Mathematics, Programming Languages, Software Methodology and Engineering.
Funding for researches come from the Ministry for Research and University (MURST), from the CNR, from international projects (such as European Union projects) and from industrial projects. See Section 2 for a detailed description.
