Site structure

The Department's site includes parts which are autonomously managed:
the didactic secretary's office, the Research Doctorate, the Erasmus project, the computing services, the week of scientific culture.

Personal and project Web pages are the responsibility of the single persons or research groups.

Pages are served in Italian or in English according to the preference settings in your browser; this feature is made possible by the multiviews facility of the http server Apache.

This site has been developed with SXML, a tool allowing to define Web pages by using user defined tags, which generates standard HTML pages by means of a macroexpansion process performed off-line. SXML has beeen implemented by A. Cisternino and is in process of becoming a software product of the Free Software Foundation (GNU).

The search facility has been implemented using IXE, a search engine developed at our University in collaboration with Ideare.

The pages of this site are compliant with all Priority 1 guidelines for accessibility, as defined by the W3C consortium in May 1999.
