Proposed Datagrid DIT structure
In the proposed DIT structure:
- each site is represented in a DIT subtree;
- such DIT has a node for each subsystem, and a specialized
netmon subtree that contains network monitoring
information;
- the netmon subtree contains a subtree for each peer
site for which this site runs network monitoring activity;
- each peer subtree contains a tool subtree for each
network monitoring activity it runs with that peer. The root of the
tool subtree may contain measures performed using
default parameters.
- each tool subtree may contain additional nodes that contain
measures obtained running the tool with that peer with a
given combination of parameters used to run the tool.
Observations:
- the architecture is log based;
- we assume a layered structure (to identify peers);
- the identity of the host(s) that performs the
monitoring is not reflected in the DIT;
