I am a Full Professor in Machine Learning, at the Computer Science Department, University of Pisa, where I am the head of the Pervasive Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (PAILab) and I coordinate the EIC-Pathfinder EMERGE project.
I am currently the Director of AI research at Aptus.AI, and the founder and scientific advisor of the ContinualIST and QuantaBrain startups.
I serve as the Senior Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, the chair the IEEE CIS Technical Committee on Neural Networks and the Vice President of AIxIA.

COSMO accepted at ICLR 2024
