Personal Information

I come from Alcamo, a little town in the north-west of Sicily (Italy). In 2010 I completed my Ph.D in Computer Science at the School of graduate studies ”Galileo Galilei” in Pisa. My main interests are challenging problems in Computational Systems Biology. In particular, stochastic simulation and perturbation methods on realistic biological models. Some recurrent words in my work are Gillespie's stochastic simulation algorithm, multiscale methods, stiffness problem, tau leaping methods, Parallelization techniques, photo-motile responses in Halobacterium Salinarum, QDC simulator.

Pierpaolo Degano and Roberto Marangoni have been my supervisors.
