This page contains links and preliminary material for the Dagstuhl Research Seminar, March 10-14, 2002, which resulted in the book Algorithms for Memory Hierarchies (LNCS 2625) [See DBLP]. After the Dagstuhl Seminar and the printing of the book, the page has been discontinued and is currently outdated. However, is can still be of help as a source of references on the topics of hierarchical memories in parallel computing. 21 June 2002 - The works about the parallel issues have undergone some discussion during the seminar and a rearranging has been proposed. Currently you can find here:

• The submitted version my paper as of 18th of June. It is different from the draft proposed at the Seminar, as it is now joint work with Martin Schmollinger. I wish to thank also all the other people who helped us in defining the topic of the paper (see above).
• The slides of my talk at the seminar. Due to time limitations and thanks to explanations given by the preceeding talks (Martin Schmollinger, Daniel Jimenez), the focus is mainly on computational models and emulation, only a short discussion took place about hardware issues and supporting software tools.
