My research interests are mainly in the field of parallel and distributed computing. That is, in methodologies, programming models, support tools and environments for parallel and distributed computing on multiprocessors, networks and grids. I cooperate with the Parallel architecture group of my Department. I currently maintain the muskel structured programming library and I've been and I'm involved in different research (projects).

I'll contribute to organize the 18th Euromicro Conference on Parallel, Distributed and Network-Based Computing (PDP 2010), February 17–19, 2010, in Pisa. Have a look at the PDP 2010 web site www.pdp2010.org and consider attending to the conference.

I'm currently teaching different courses at the Dept. of Computer Science. A complete list of my teaching activities can be found at Home page della didattica 2009-2010 (these pages are in Italian).

This year, I'll be teaching in the new Master Degree Program (Laurea Magistrale) in Computer Science and Networking, a joint initiative of the University of Pisa (Engineering and Science Faculties) and Sant'Anna Superior School. The official language of the courses will be English and foreign (non italian) students will be accepted (see the course brochure for more details).
