Interessi Scientifici

Nutro interessi per le architetture parallele e le applicazioni parallele-distribuite. Penso che la ricerca scientifica nel campo del Grid Computing possa avere un notevole impatto sulla società moderna consentendo la computazione di modelli di fenomeni particolarmente complessi. La disponibilità di capacità elaborativa ha un enorme potenziale nell'aiuto per la risoluzione dei pressanti problemi sanitari e ambientali che stanno affrontando i paesi in via di sviluppo.


Ritengo inoltre che le griglie computazionali possano incentivare la cooperazione fra le persone, che sono disposte a condividere fra loro risorse e conoscenze, per il perseguimento di obbiettivi che individualmente non sarebbero raggiungibili.
