This series of seminars focuses on algorithmic approaches for the analysis of genomic data. With the recent new sequencing technologies, the amount of genomic data available for biomedical investigation has enourmously grown, opening new challenges in the design of efficient methods for their analysis. In particular, it is more and more urgent the need of automatic and accurate techniques and tools for certain type of searches, for inter-species and intra-species comparative analyses, and for the investigation of entire populations. The big amount of data under investigation gives rise to new problems, and many recent new approaches that we will survey within these seminars.
