|1988||I completed the scientific-oriented upper school (Maturità Scientifica) with evaluation 60/60.|
|1997|| First-Class Honours Degree (110 e Lode) in Computer Science at the University of Pisa.|
My advisor was Prof. Marco Danelutto, and the thesis is about "Optimisation techniques for structured parallel programs" (Tecniche di ottimizzazione di programmi paralleli strutturati).
|1997||I was a consultant at CPR (Consorzio Pisa Ricerche) for the design and development of the SkIE parallel compiler, in the framework of the national research project PQE2000.|

My advisor is Prof. Marco Vanneschi, topic of the thesis is "Structured Parallel Programming Support for Data Mining Problems". Thesis defense was held on October 29th, 2002.

|2006||I have been working at the C.S. Dept., managing maintennance of the ASSIST programming environment, managing research work within the BeInGrid and CoreGRID EU projects. I have been teaching a course on Advanced Parallel Computing.|
|2006-||I am a Post-Doc research fellow at ISTI, working within the XtreemOS EU Research Project. I am also teaching Advanced Parallel Computing.|
